On August 19th, two New Jersey Transit buses collided in a T-bone accident, injuring 19 and killing one. The Newark bus accident occurred at the intersection of Raymond Boulevard and Broad Street. According to press reports, the driver of the No. 59 bus was traveling west on Raymond Boulevard when it broadsided the No. 13 Bus, which was heading north on Broad Street. New Jersey Transit Police have said the No. 59 bus had no passengers onboard. It has been confirmed the driver of the No. 59 bus has died from his injuries. Witnesses claim one of the bus drivers may have ran a red light. An investigation is ongoing.
